著者について

ジーン・ルエン・ヤン(Gene Luen Yang)
1973年、アメリカ生まれの移民2世。両親は台湾出身でアメリカの大学院で学んでいた時に知り合う。カリフォルニア大学バークレー校コンピューター・サイエンス学部卒業後、高校で教鞭をとりながら自費出版したマンガが認められ、マンガ家に。2006年発表の本作は、全米図書賞の最終候補になるなど絶賛され、アイズナー賞など多くの賞を受賞した。現在は家族とサンフランシスコに暮らす。

椎名 ゆかり(しいな・ゆかり)
海外コミック翻訳者、東京藝術大学非常勤講師。アメリカ・オハイオ州ボーリンググリーン州立大学院ポピュラーカルチャー専攻修士課程修了。平成23~25年度文化庁芸術文化課マンガ研究補佐員。海外マンガや論文の翻訳及び海外におけるマンガ状況について執筆を行う。主な訳書は『ファン・ホーム ある家族の悲喜劇』(第15回文化庁メディア芸術祭マンガ部門優秀賞受賞)、『ブラックホール』、『サーガ』、『ザ・ボーイズ』、『モンストレス』他。
