●文／驪姬一九八五年的十二月卅一日晚上，鄧麗君終於如願以償，實現她多年的心願，以一個外國人的身份征服日本歌壇，參加被日本藝人視為最高榮譽的年終「紅白對抗」大賽，這也是鄧麗君在日本演唱多年，第一次得以參加「紅白對抗」，可見意義非比尋常。

民國六十三年，鄧麗君首次到日本求發展時，她原本只想多學一點演唱經驗，從未想過有天自己會大紅大紫，但是在唱片公司的策畫下，她學日本話、灌唱片，努力的耕耘，終於在今日擁有自己的一片天地，無可否認的，鄧麗君是在日本下過工夫努力的，從不會日文到會看會講，從不解歌詞的含意到今日的情感全然投入，鄧麗君的日本星路歷程，雖然榮耀，但是辛苦也由此可見一斑，在這期間，遇到挫折時，在陌生的國土上，鄧麗君也曾在半夜獨思時落下她的眼淚，但是挫折感從未打敗過她的意志，尤其每次想到要站在日本的舞台上，為自己和同胞爭光，鄧麗君就愈發練得使自己更堅強。
從來，鄧麗君總是把憂愁藏在內心裏，而把最欣喜的一面獻給國人，在她失意的時候，不見她回國哭訴，每次回國或者傳回來的消息，總是她捐款雪中送炭，或者參加義演、勞軍。
雖然她人在國外，但心卻在國內，頒給「小鄧」「愛國歌星」的榮銜，她實在得之無愧。

●文／小鳳前往日本參加NHK電視「紅白大賽」的鄧麗君，在東京接受香港記者越洋電話訪問時曾特別強調說，雖然她在日本總算闖出一點名堂，但她不會步陳美齡等人的後塵，去下嫁一個日本人。
